The Mural is Mounted & Dr. Appointment Update

Hello all,
Mom (Colleen) came over Thursday night and helped Larry mount the incredible Dr. Seuss mural in the baby's room. It is HUGE, and AWESOME. Click the Mural Picture to see it in a bigger format! It takes up the entire wall! Stop on by sometime to see it.

Larry, my mom and I have some kind of summer flu, we think. We have all been having stomach troubles.... I did when Mom was here, but I thought it may have been the heat. Apparently I looked so awful, that my Mom hugged me. Now for most that would not seem to unusual, that ones Mom would hug, but Colleen is not typically touchy-feely, and I must have looked like death. :) We had a good time getting the mural up regardless and had yummy tuna-fish salad sandwiches with green olives in it. (Just like Gram Kennedy)

The Dr appointment on Friday was okay. We are not progressing at all. Still only dilated to 1... If we don't have him this week, we'll talk inducement... I asked if we can aim for 8/8/08 then, why not? Dr.Gurney is on board with that and the drugs will be flowing! Hurray for me! We'll know more after the next appointment Friday Aug. 1.

Well, my Mom came to save the day for me yet again. What a saint! She came over and helped me get organized in the baby's areas. I finally am able to relax now that clothes are put away, diapers have their places and toys are put away. THANK YOU MOM!

Larry has truly done a tremendous job in the Baby room and "The Nook." He is such a talented carpenter, electrician and visionary. James is very lucky to have such a talented Daddy. Stay tuned and we will post pictures soon... just a few more finishing touches.

Chandler and Blue are so darn cute! Larry took a darling picture of them. I think they have started up their own support group. :) James is very lucky to have cuddly and cute animal brothers too.

We are doing really well! Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement as we wait the arrival of our sweet baby James.

Stay tuned!

Well... That wasn't it...

Went to the hospital yesterday, with hopes that we were in labor. Nope... False alarm.
False Labor actually. I was having pretty good contractions, albeit, irregular and not very strong. But I thought for sure that I was ready... NOPE! James has other ideas apparently. (He already is becoming a momma's boy?)

Work is kind enough to allow me to work from my Home office now that we are so close. It really helps since my desk setup at work is not as comfortable as the recliner to keep my Franken-feet up. Plus, I can't sit at work in my bare feet and long Tshirt. (nice visual, huh?)

Blah, Blah,Blah... everything hurts, everything is uncomfortable, walking is a challenge... rolling over is great fun... All the wonders of pregnancy are now getting old.

The good news! The nursery and nook areas are looking GREAT! My mom is coming over tonight to put the Dr. Seuss mural up. I will try to get pictures of each area posted soon. Larry does do excellent work!

Not much else to say today... we'll keep you posted.

P.S. - This falls into the People are very weird category:

It's the final count down!!!

Well, it is getting really close!! 11 days or less.... Thank God! I am ready! I am HUGE!!

I started having some good intermittent contractions this weekend, even though at Friday's Dr.visit I am still only dilated to 1 and 10% effaced. -for those of you who are unfamiliar with how it works, one needs to be dilated to 10 and 100% effaced at time of birth. ;)

My wonderful friends had a fabulous couples baby shower for us last Friday night. Lisa Dufresne hosted at her lovely home, while Mechelle took awesome pictures, Mel helped with gifts, and Angela and Katie were also the hostesses with the mostesses.
Here is a link to the pictures... You can really get a sense on how big I've become! The Dr thinks JJ could be an 8 pounder...(I wonder if it is too late to start smoking again... JUST KIDDING!!)

Larmo is still hard at work upstairs on the Baby room and the nook. We should be able to post pictures soon! I painted the "Nook" mostly by myself, but needed my Mom to help with the final push yesterday. I simply cannot bend anymore!! I get so tired and HOT! :O

Mom and I started shopping for fun stuff... I like this part... the contstruction, not so much... We went to Wal-Mart for rugs, Babies R Us to look at mattresses (nothing), Bed/Bath & Beyond for drawer organizers (nada), Sam's club for a fridge (got one!) and back home to take a break. After about 2 PM I am dead to the world... It was AWESOME to spend some time with my Mom. I really appreciate her and all she does for us - plus it is a bonus that she is one of my best friends!

This week is the final push - I hope - to get the rooms done, clothes put away etc. I have my bag packed in the car and Larry will be packing his and JJ's tonight. :) Mom is coming over Thursday to get the mural on the wall. That should be the final touch!

We are very excited to have Larry's parents come to see us in August! Sometime around the 15th, we think. Careful, Joe, Larry is already dreaming up projects for you!!! (Heck, I have some ideas that you could finish...)

Well, I think that is about it for now. We'll keep ya'all posted

All our love
