Good times!! Great visits!!

Another great week of fun and visits!

Don't be strangers! Feel free to call for a play date. We love company!

I weigh about 14 lbs now and I am 24 1/4 inches! WOW!

9/22 Monday - Happy Birthday Grandma Kennedy and Great-Grandma Hefton
Went to lunch at Chili's with Grandma Kennedy and took Kipper and Blue for a walk. It was a little windy, but I got to ride in the BIG boy stroller and look at all the amazing trees and nature sights!

9/23 Tuesday - Lunch with Kelly D.
Went to lunch with Kelly D. Mommy's friend from work. It was very fun and I liked cuddling with Kelly!

Mommy made a new music CD for us to play with. If we like it we may make copies for our friends. :) It includes some Credence Clearwater Revival songs. Mommy read on the internet that kids love Credence!

9/24 Wednesday - Afternoon play with Grandma Kennedy
Hung out with Grandma Kennedy while Uncle Johnny and Mommy went to the SPA and Panera for lunch! They had a lot of fun!!

9/25 Thursday - What a sweet baby! Gayla and Great-Grandma Ione come to visit
Per Mommy - "This morning, I was overwhelmed with how simply amazing my son is! We were listening to our Mozart and having our "coffee." He cooed and talked and smiled so much that it was just too much to take! What a cutie pie! Then we started his late morning breakfast, while listening to our new CD. Blue even liked the music and wanted to sing along."

Great-Grandma Ione and Gayla came over for lunch and a very nice visit! Here are some pictures!

Mommy had ANOTHER birthday celebration with her friends at a Wine Bar. I wasn't invited, but it looks like she had fun!

9/26 Friday - Went to Battle Creek with Grandma Kennedy, Mommy and the Dogs!

9/27 Saturday - Working on the House and some outdoor play!

New baby Birthdays! (and last week in review)

Happy Birthday's to the new babies this month!

(Hoping for pictures of the babies soon! I will post them when I get them.)

9/15 - Larry's sister and her husband, Angela & Scott welcomed a new baby
boy, Reid, to thier family!

9/18 - My cousins Jason & Emily welcomed a new baby girl to their family!

Congratulations to the new parents and babies!

We're keeping very busy now that I am 7 weeks old!! Something is scheduled for each day to keep us learning and exploring. A typical morning starts with our fun Nursery rhyme music and milk. Then Mommy will make her coffee and her breakfast as we listen to either the Baby Einstein CD or the new Mozart CD that Grandpa Wadnizak made for us!

After all that, Mommy usually plans something for us to do in the afternoon.

Here is a run down of what we did last week:

9/13 Saturday - Birthday Party at the Wadnizak's

My Grandpa & Mommy's Birthday party at Great-Grandma Wadnizak's house. We had a lot of fun playing and eating a wonderful meal. (Well, they ate steaks and potatoes, while I had my milk.)

Look on the right side of this Blog for all the pictures! There is a slide show called: Birthday Party for Mom & Grandpa 9 13 08.

9/14 Sunday - Mommy gets a Pedicure with Angela
Mommy and Angela met up to visit and get their tootsies painted all pretty. Why do girls do that? They are already confusing!
The rest of the day was rainy and we played indoor games. I did not want to take a nap and that made Mommy
very tired. Daddy came home from helping his friend Wally and I was finally able to rest. Thanks Daddy!

9/15 Monday - Mommy takes me and Blue for a walk at Harriet Island

It was a sunny and windy day down by the river. We had fun walking Blue and getting some fresh air! Mommy fed
me my lunch on a pretty bench, under a tree over looking the river. We even sang our favorite nursery rhymes!
Grandma Kennedy came over later to visit with us and color Mommy's hair.

9/16 Tuesday - Craig comes to visit for lunch
Mommy's friend from work came to visit and brought me a really pretty blanket that he had made special for me! Thanks Craig! Hope you enjoyed the Mexican fare with Mommy.

9/17 Wednesday - Mommy and Johnny's Birthday party at Grandma Kennedy's

Grandma Kennedy hosted a birthday party for my Uncle Johnny and Mommy. It was a very fun day! We got to Grandma's early and played and walked the dogs before anyone came over.

Like my outfit? It is from the Colorado Kennedys! It is a Colorado Rockie's set!

9/18 Thursday - Mommy visits Thomson-Reuters

Mommy went to visit all her wonderful friends and colleagues at her work. It was so nice to see everyone and have a nice lunch with Angela and Patty. She is so lucky not only to have great friends and family outside of work, but also at work as well! :)

9/19 Friday - Lunch with the Hillebrand gals!

We had lunch with Katy and Cadyn Hillebrand at Champps in Woodbury. (I wish I could have had a taste of the Fajitas!!)

9/20 Saturday - KJ comes to visit!
She is so pretty and I hope she has a really fun cousin in her belly for me to play with! (KJ is due in Feb 2009)

She really likes to giggle and ask Mommy lots of questions about babies! I think she is going to be a terrifc Mommy!

9/21 Sunday - We all visit with Grandpa Wadnizak and then visit Grandma Kennedy for her Birthday party!!

Here is Grandpa Wadnizak's version of Patty Cake!

Johnny was at Grandma's party and said he had enough pie for a lifetime! Lots of pie this week for all the
birthdays! :)

Last week, I forgot to mention that my friend, Liam came over and we hung out. Here is a picture of him in my bouncy
chair I got from my Aunt Mary. I love to share. (well, so far...)

Well, that is about it. Mommy has me running around all the time. Walking the dogs, shopping and visiting. It is fun because I need to learn all I can about this world!

Love to all - JJ

Alone again...Naturally

Well, we're all alone again in the house. All the house guests have gone. :(
We are doing very well and Mommy has a clean bill of health! Hurray!
Mommy can start light exercise and visiting people. No more Wound Vac and No more home health Nurse!
Having Joe & Joan here for two weeks and the Colorado Kennedy's here for five days was really a treat for us. We love company. :)
Please call us for a play date!! Mommy has six weeks left of her maternity leave!
Mommy and JJ time!
Here is a video of us playing by ourselves the first morning on our own. Missing Pop Pop and GG. We listen to our favorite Nursery Rhyme CD. You can't hear the CD, but Mommy is doing her best impression. LOL!

At Como Zoo

Had a great day at the Zoo with Pop Pop and GG!

How many Gonzalez' does it take to put JJ in the car seat? Where is Momma anyway?

Katie and Paul's Wedding

What a beautiful and wonderful wedding! Katie was so beautiful and we are so happy that Paul and Katie found one another. Congratulations you kids!

Proud Father of the Bride and his Grandaughter have a few laughs!

Johnny, Tim and Sean enjoying the reception with James in tow.

Kyle enjoys meeting James.

Ladies Man!
James was able to meet up with his twin cousins from Grand Rapids Michigan and other women at the wedding. He's is officially a Ladies Man!

Home Time

What's with the Poop?

Okay, Mommy's can get obsessive, especially when they read all the books they can get their hands on!! In those books they warn you about what to look for about everything. Particularily babies poop... http://www.itsamomsworld.com/baby_newborn_poop.html

Here is an odd poop that I took a picture of and sent Larry at work for him to help me decide if JJ was dehydrated. One of the signs to look for is if the poop looks like an adult poop, you should be concerned... well, what does this one look like to you??
That's love baby!!

That's all for now!
More pictures and updates next time!

OH HAPPY DAY!!

Greetings!

Pop Pop and GG

Joan and Joe Gonzalez (aka: Pop Pop and GG) are here and we are so happy to see them every day!! Pop Pop is the early bird and helps Joy with any difficult "bubbles" and GG is the late night gal that helps Larry with the last late night feeding before bed. We are starting to fall into a routine. Feedings are about 4, 7, 10 and 1 (AM & PM) Makes it easy to remember! :)

Even though I am recuperating, I am not one to let moss grow on me, so we have been keeping busy. I think Pop Pop and GG will be addressing me as a Drill Sargent pretty soon. I keep a tight ship and let them know what the plan is for the day and when we need to hit the road etc. They are taking it in stride... I hope. We really love having them here. I told them they could stay forever and pick any color of paint they like for the guest room.... ha ha ha.

Mr. James Update

James is just beautiful. We are having a good time getting to know him each day and learning how to better care for him. Thanks to Pop Pop and GG help too!!

He's had some struggles with gas and we have had to try many different techniques to get the bubbles out. Next new technique will be to start incorporating Infant Massage to the daily routine. Larry picked up an Infant Massage book and it looks really fun and a wonderful way to bond with JJ. Initially I thought it was kinda silly, but reading it and looking at the techniques, it will be a great way to help James relax and bring us closer together.

Labor Day Picnic

Last Sunday we all went to Long Lake for a Labor Day picnic with the Kennedy family, Joy's Dad and Grandma and Dee's family. It was a beautiful day and everyone had an excellent time playing games, eating and visiting. James was a hit and he loved being outside in the wind. He slept very well that night! Blue was able to come with us too!! Can't forget him!

Joy's Health update
Today is a good day. A wonderful milestone has occurred. I am disconnected from the Wound Vac! Hurray! We are 95% sure that it will not have to be put back on. I have a follow up doctor appointment Monday 9/8, and we'll be able to validate the progress and assess the next steps and timeline for a full recovery! HURRAY!!

That is all I have time for now!
Love you all! and hope to see you soon! Don't forget to visit!
